‘Best Property’ Award
The Ayrshire property market has received a welcome boost as leading local
property development and house building company, Hendry Homes Ltd, announced
today it has won one of the most prestigious national property awards.
Hendry Homes Ltd, an elite family run company is to be awarded the accolade
for ‘best property’ in the Daily Mail UK Property Awards 2008,
beating off strong competition throughout the whole county of Ayrshire.
The company operates in the mid to high end of the property market and
offers an enviable range of property and building services including renovation
projects, new builds, extensions and conversions.
The ‘best property’ award was presented to Hendry Homes Ltd
for their redevelopment and new build project Otters View at the Purclewan
Mill site, creating an exclusive hamlet of stunning homes including green
oak frames, natural stone and slate features. The historic Purclewan Mill,
located just 10 minutes from Ayr and five minutes from Alloway, where lived
Nellie Kilpatrick, the miller’s daughter, is believed to be the inspiration
for Robert Burns’ first poem, Handsome Nell.
Iain Hendry, Managing Director of Hendry Homes Ltd carried out his first
renovation project in 1987 with his wife Karen as a personal assignment,
which was to see the start of their flourishing company. Having got the
development bug, Iain and Karen over many years embarked upon a range of
renovation, new build and improvement ventures for themselves as well as
private clients and have gone from strength to strength.
On receiving this award, Iain Hendry said: “It is an absolute honour,
being a small local Ayrshire company, to have been awarded this esteemed
national property award. We take great pride in ensuring we deliver the
highest standards, retaining and enhance the natural beauty of each building,
whilst being sympathetic to the local environment for all new build designs.
This accolade is testament to the team’s hard work and enthusiasm
for producing stunning properties for discerning buyers looking for a truly
outstanding home.”
Iain Hendry takes on the role of project manager on every project, overseeing
all work from start to finish ensuring complete client satisfaction throughout
the whole process. Each development has its own individual character and
charm, with buyers able to put their own mark on the property through a
choice of internal finishings.
Hendry
Homes Ltd incorporates many features and benefits to produce properties
of distinction. Unique green oak frames are stylishly integrated with natural
materials and renewable energy sources including air source heat pumps,
as well as underfloor heating to help reduce energy costs. Environmental
considerations are also taken into account with all oak coming from European
sustainable sources, part of a replanting programme where new saplings are
offered for their site or planted on their behalf.
This award is linked to the world’s largest and most prestigious
property competition, The International Property Award. Hendry Homes Ltd
is now in the running to representing the UK at the finals in the USA in
November, where winners from the American, Arabian, Asia-Pacific, European
and African awards will compete for the international accolades.
