Hendry Homes have been involved in a number of conversion projects over recent years and can assist from the initial concept phase through to completion.
Gadgirth Mains was one of the first conversion and renovation projects undertaken by Iain and his team. Bought in 1990, Gadgirth Mains was very rundown and consisted of a 3 bed farmhouse and rundown stables and outbuildings.
Conversion and improvement work started in 1991 and took place over a few years, with the courtyard cottage accommodation being used for holiday accommodation until ultimately being sold as residential houses in 2004.
The conversion works included absolutely everything as buildings were stripped
back to the bare bones. Some areas of improvement carried out by Iain and
his team were:
- All new drainage system including septic tank and soakaway
- New chemical dpc system installed
- All new roofwork including slate, leadwork, dormer and velux works
- All joinery
- Kitchen
- Bathrooms
- Arched and circular hardwood windows
- New stonework and cement work
- All external landscaping
